How to Order JYJ Beef

  1. Fill out the Beef Reservation Form, complete with cut sheet, below and be prepared to pay a $200 deposit up front to reserve your beef.

  2. Jim or Jessica Yance will contact you to coordinate dates and send an invoice for $5/pound of hot carcass weight once we deliver the animal to the processor.

  3. Once the invoice is paid to JYJ, the processor will notify you the beef is ready for pick-up. They will charge you for the processing fee then. Processing is an average of $1/pound.

Estimated cost per ¼ or ½ or whole?

Most whole Hot Carcass Weights range between 500–700 lbs. on average. Estimates below include the cost of a 500 lb. carcass for both the meat and the processing fees total:

Whole = $3,000 + range

½ = $1,500 + range

¼ = $750 + range

In addition, the processing charges can be figured separately at an estimated price of $1/pound + a dress fee. Weights vary; therefore, prices will vary. Read more about how these factors influence the amount of beef the live animal yields, as well as an explanation of primal and sub-primal cuts.
